Design you Strategy at: Clan War Tracker

Note:

CW = Clan War(s), CC = Clan Castle

Don't join a war if:
  • You are unable to attack twice in the upcoming war.
  • You won't have a decent internet connection to fight for your clan in this campaign.
  • You don't have enough elixir or dark elixir to create the troops.
  • Your Spell Factory is not going to be available during battle day.
  • Your heroe(s) will be upgrading during battle day, so they won't be available for the attacks.

  • You must use a good war base. If your war base is not optimal, ask for help or look up good designs, etc.
  • Only players with highest level units, close to the maximum level, should be donating during Preparation Day. (Unless there is only a little time left and there are castles that are not filled.)
  • When you donate, think about troop balance. For example, melee units tanking for ranged units, etc. Some good units for war CCs are: Dragons, Witches, Wizards, Balloons, Valkyries, Lava Hounds, Archers, etc.
  • If you receive units that are bad choice for defense (Leader and/or Co-Leader will investigate that), or units that you didn’t want to get, simply delete them from your CC and wait for someone to fill it up. (Or ask if you need to.)

  • The general idea in clan wars is to attack as soon as possible, and to get as many 3 stars as you can
  • Use both of your attacks in every war. If you miss more than 1 attack in any 2 consecutive wars, you will be demoted to a sister clan. You can rejoin once you are able to play in every war.
  • Generally the lower base rank (army strength) you have in war, the earlier you should attack. This gives the higher players a good idea of who they should attack. (mop up lower bases that didn’t obtain 3 stars, or go for a higher base that might yield more than one star, etc.)
  • If you leave the clan without an explanation during a war without using your attacks, you will be permanently banned from the clan.
  • Attack your mirror first and, after that, choose an enemy's base which is lower than 3 stars, the stars your clan mates got, to obtain the maximum points on that base.
  • Respect other Clan Members' Mirrors, but if they fail attacking them feel free to try getting 3 stars.
  • You can only attack for loot if you obtained 3 stars against your mirror and there is a certainty our clan is going to win the war. Anyway, ask the Leader/Co-Leaders first before attacking a base for loot.
  • Before attacking during Battle's Day, don’t be shy to ask for the best units there are. Be specific. Remember to add in ”CW” to your request so that people know it’s for Clan War.

  • If you are struggling with your attacks, don’t just keep doing the same thing. Practice your attacks, watch videos, ask for advice, etc.
  • Plan out your attacks well by exploiting the weaknesses of your opponent. If you see someone else in your clan or the opponent’s clan do a great attack, steal their strategies.
  • If you have read up to here, which is required for new members, please pass on this code to a leader: SantaClaus
  • If viable, draw out the Enemy’s CC troops and kill them before sending in your whole force.
  • If the units are light units such as Archers, Lightning or Wizards are good for taking them out. If using lightning, try to get them clumped by placing units one at a time. If using a wizard to take them out, clump them likewise, but distract them with other cheap units so the wizards don’t get hit.
  • If the enemy units are Dragons or any high HP units, Lightning is a bad option. Try using witches, archers, or wizards, etc.
  • If they have Wizards, Dragons, or any unit that does splash damage, spread your archers in a circular formation so they don’t get hit easily or clump up.
  • If their CC is deep in the base, use giants or hogs to get close enough to trigger it. It will be worth it.

  • If you see choke points or square spaces of 4 tiles, chances are there are spring traps or giant bombs, etc. If there is no space in their base, they most likely have traps on the outside of their walls where you are likely to attack from.
  • Try setting off these traps with single cheap units if you can. Sometimes you cannot avoid going through traps, but you can sometimes send giants in a bit at a time or have heal spells ready for when they take damage, etc.

  • When throwing spells, try to zoom in (if your screen is small) and be accurate at aiming
  • If you are placing a healing spell for hogs, for example, try to place it in an area where it will cover the locations they will be in. Place spells a bit ahead on their expected paths so that the units will benefit from spells for the longest time possible.
